Welcome to CoverME.gov, Maine's official Health Insurance Marketplace. During the annual Open Enrollment Period, Maine residents can use CoverME.gov to:
- Shop for and compare health insurance plans that provide quality comprehensive coverage.
- Apply for financial assistance to lower health insurance costs. CoverME.gov is the only place where you can apply to receive tax credits to lower the monthly premium for your plan.
- Find a certified expert to guide you through the shopping and enrollment process and answer your questions at no cost to you.
Open enrollment begins November 1, 2024. You may be eligible to enroll in coverage or change your current coverage outside of the annual Open Enrollment period if you have experienced a qualifying life event -- like losing the insurance you get through your job, getting married or divorced, or having a baby. These events would qualify you for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP), which means you may be eligible to enroll in a plan outside of the annual Open Enrollment period.
